Max Community Club
Meeting Minutes
May 11, 2015
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm (MT)
In attendance were Cindy Cawthra, Jim and Karen Bowman, Marcy Kier, Shary Boon, Daisy and Jim Jensen, Geraldine Edwards, Bob Tuttle, and Ed Burns
Cindy thanked Jim Bowman and Ed Burns for their work maintaining the Max Pioneer Park, and Margaret Smith for planting flowers around the “Little Church” museum. Cindy also thanked everyone who helped with the lunch for the annual tractor ride.
It was announced that Harold Perkins was admitted to the hospital in Benkelman, and that his birthday is May 30th. (Update: Perk is now home from the hospital). Cindy also thanked Geraldine Edwards for bringing a pan of her delicious brownies for the club members to enjoy.
Cindy Cawthra read the meeting minutes for the previous club meeting, and she also read the monthly treasurers report, noting that club treasurer Margaret Smith was absent from the meeting and not feeling well. Karen Bowman made a motion to accept the meeting minutes and treasurer report as presented and without additions. Jim Jensen seconded the motion. The motion carried with a unanimous vote.
Old Business: The annual clean up day that had been scheduled was canceled due to inclement weather. The new date for clean up day will be May 30, 2015, and club members and other volunteers were asked to meet at the clubhouse at 8:30am (MT).
New Business: The annual alumni brunch will be held May 23, 2015. Cindy Cawthra, Shary Boon and Geraldine Edwards agreed to help out with serving brunch.
Discussion was held regarding this years annual community wide yard sales. Several dates in June were discussed as possible dates for the yard sales. Further discussion was tabled until next month's meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:40pm (MT). The next meeting of the Max Community Club will be June 8, 2015 at 7:00pm (MT)
